Competitive Dance Program

Our auditions are now complete, however if you are interested in being a part of our competitive program we are happy to set up a short private assessment to see where you would best fit!

The Danceworx Competitive Program is for dancers who want to pursue their love of dance in a more intensive setting. In this program, dancers will be exposed to different choreography and technical classes. The dancers in our competitive program have positive attitudes and open minds. All dancers in the program must be 100% fully committed to their team, teachers, and themselves!

At Danceworx, we understand that every family has their own busy schedules and weekly priorities. In our competitive program, the only mandatory classes are 2-3 technical classes per week…and the rest is up to the dancer! Dancers can individualize their schedule and custom choose the classes they want to take!

Danceworx competes in 3-4 competitions per year. All competitive students are expected to attend all competitions, classes, and rehearsals.

Admittance into the competitive program is based on a placement audition and/or teacher discretion. Registration for the competitive program is limited and ends in September at the beginning of each dance year.

Elite Program (Invitation Only)
For our most dedicated dancers, we will be running small invitation only groups in technical styles (jazz, contemporary, etc). There will be auditions in the fall for those who are interested. These dancers will get to work with outside choreographers. Dancers interested in the Elite Program must be available to practice on Saturdays (will be pre-determined by time of auditions).

Pre-Competitive Teen (Approx ages 13+)
This line is for teen dancers who are new to the competition scene! They have been dancing recreationally for years and are ready to head to competition. Dancers in this line have the option to compete in hip hop and contemporary/jazz. There are no required classes to be in this line, so it is perfect for the dancer who also loves other after-school extra curriculars and sports, however it is recommended that they take an open training class to further their skills!
